Study Schedule
Dedicate 3–4 hours daily to JIPMAT preparation by dividing time equally among Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability. Focus on concept building, practice topic-wise questions, read newspapers daily to improve comprehension, and attempt at least one full-length mock test every week. Increase mock frequency and revision during the final month before the exam.
Mock Test Strategy
Start with sectional tests to strengthen individual topics before moving to full-length mock tests. Analyze every mock thoroughly, identify weak areas, and revise concepts accordingly. Practice effective time management, avoid guesswork due to negative marking, and maintain accuracy while attempting easier questions first.

Negative Marking Awareness
There is a negative marking of -1 mark for every incorrect answer, while each correct answer carries 4 marks. Unanswered questions do not attract any penalty.
Exam-Day Tips
On the exam day, reach the examination centre well before the reporting time with your admit card and a valid photo ID. Read all instructions carefully before starting the test. Begin with the section you are most comfortable with to build confidence and manage your time wisely across all three sections. Avoid unnecessary guesswork, as 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. Stay calm, focus on accuracy, and review your marked questions if time permits. Ensure that all answers are submitted before the exam timer ends.
JIPMAT Counselling Process

After the declaration of the JIPMAT 2027 results, the participating institutes, IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu, will begin their admission process separately. There is no centralised counselling conducted by NTA. Candidates must apply to the participating IIMs as per their admission notifications. The institutes prepare category-wise merit lists based on JIPMAT scores and eligibility criteria. Shortlisted candidates are required to complete document verification, pay the admission fee, and confirm their seats within the stipulated deadline. Admission is granted only after successful verification of documents and fulfilment of all eligibility requirements. Most JIPMAT aspirants are 17 or 18 — juggling board exams, a brand-new entrance test, and a decision (management, right after Class 12) that most people don't make until years later. That's exactly why CATMock built a dedicated JIPMAT mentorship track: to give students a clear, structured path into IIM Jammu or IIM Bodh Gaya's 5-year Integrated Programme in Management, without the guesswork. We start by understanding where you actually stand — your academic profile, your comfort level across sections, your preferred institute, and how much time you realistically have alongside board prep — and build a roadmap around that, not a one-size-fits-all timeline. JIPMAT rewards precision as much as knowledge, thanks to its negative marking, so our mock analysis goes beyond "what did you get wrong" into "what should you have skipped." We help you build a genuine feel for your own risk threshold — when a calculated guess is worth it and when it isn't — while tracking consistency and keeping your motivation steady through a prep window that often runs alongside your toughest board months. Section-wise, we go deep on Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. And because JIPMAT admission isn't decided by your exam score alone — both IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya fold your Class 10 and 12 marks into the final merit list — we help you keep that side of the equation strong too, alongside honest guidance on institute choice and what the 5-year IPM path actually looks like once you're in. If you're starting your management journey earlier than most, CATMock makes sure you're starting it smarter too.
