The NMAT by GMAC is a premier, adaptive MBA entrance exam used for admissions to top business schools like NMIMS (Mumbai, Bangalore, etc.), XIMB, and TAPMI. It features 108 questions across three sections—Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning—to be completed in 120 minutes with no negative marking.

To be eligible for the NMAT exam, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 format) from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks. Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible. There is no age limit or mandatory work experience requirement.

NMAT cut-offs range from 200 to 235+ depending on the college and program, with top-tier institutions like NMIMS Mumbai typically requiring an overall score around 209+ and sectional scores of at least 60–62 in Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning.
