CMAT Photo and Signature Upload Rules
Photograph
- Use a recent photo, in colour or black and white.
- Show at least 80% of your face, including your ears, with no mask.
- Use a white background.
- Save it as JPG/JPEG, 10–200 KB.
- Print one extra copy. You paste it on the attendance sheet at the exam centre.
Signature
- Scan your own signature so it reads clearly.
- Save it as JPG/JPEG, 10–50 KB.
- Tip: sign on plain white paper in dark ink.
Two warnings
- NTA rejects blurred or unidentifiable photos and signatures, and it allows no correction.
- Uploading someone else’s or a morphed image counts as unfair means. NTA can debar you for three years.
How to Fill the CMAT 2027 Application Form: Step by Step
- Register. Open cmat.nta.nic.in and click new registration. Enter your details, create a password, and choose a security question and answer. NTA generates your application number. Save it.
- Fill the form. Log in with your application number and password. Complete these sections:
- personal details
- educational qualification
- university and programme choices
- test paper details
- four exam cities
- Upload your images. Add your photo, signature and any certificates. Preview each file before you submit.
- Pay the fee. Pay online by UPI, net banking, debit card or credit card. You pay bank charges and GST on top of the fee.
- Download the confirmation page. NTA generates it only after your payment succeeds. Save a PDF and print one copy.
You can do the steps together or on different days. NTA confirms your application only after it receives the fee.
Payment Problems
